Help for Heroes

You will see we have a Help for Heroes section on the website.  I was in the Army for ten years but nothing in my experience came close to what our servicemen and women are facing in Iraq and Afghanistan. 

Emma and I had an opportunity to visit the wounded at Selly Oak hospital and Headley Court rehabilitation centre and were humbled to meet some extraordinary people there, both the wounded and their wonderful nursing staff. 

We decided we had to do something to help, and our charity Help for Heroes is an appeal to the British public to raise a great deal of money to directly support our servicemen and women. It has the full support of the head of army, General Sir Richard Dannatt.
